Cat DP50N Specifications
The Caterpillar DP50N is a 5.0-ton (5,000 kg / 11,000
lb) heavy-duty diesel pneumatic-tire forklift engineered for high-demand
industrial sectors requiring superior torque output, high structural rigidity,
and stable load-handling performance at extended lift heights. As part of
Caterpillar’s modern N-Series, the DP50N is designed for steel and metal
fabrication yards, construction-material distribution centers, concrete and
brick industries, container freight operations, timber yards, and outdoor
industrial loading zones.
This model supports two industrial diesel engine configurations: the Mitsubishi
D04EG-T turbocharged diesel engine and the Perkins 854F
electronically-controlled, turbocharged engine. Both provide high torque output,
excellent fuel efficiency, and reliable performance under continuous heavy-lift
cycles. The DP50N utilizes a reinforced frame, heavy-duty mast assemblies, a
high-capacity cooling system, advanced hydraulic modulation, and an industrial
powershift transmission engineered for long service life.
The operator station offers enhanced visibility, ergonomic controls, a
low-vibration suspended seat, intuitive lever layout, improved floor space, and
responsive steering. Maintenance access is optimized through wide-opening engine
hoods, centralized filter placement, durable wiring routing, and simplified
diagnostic points. The DP50N is widely regarded as one of the most durable and
cost-efficient models in the 5-ton diesel forklift class.
