Hyster H60FT Specifications
The Hyster H60FT is an LPG or diesel-powered,
counterbalanced forklift truck manufactured from approximately 2019 to 2025.
This sit-down rider model is engineered for demanding indoor and outdoor
material handling tasks requiring a rated load capacity of 6000 lb or 2722 kg.
The machine is available with a PSI 2.4L LPG engine or a Kubota 2.5L diesel
engine, with the diesel version meeting Tier 4 Final emission standards. The
Fortens series features the durable powertrain controlled by the Pacesetter VSM
electronic management system with a CANbus communications network.
The electronically controlled DuraMatch transmission provides smoother
directional changes to eliminate shock loading and extend clutch pack life. The
Auto Deceleration System automatically slows the truck when the accelerator
pedal is released, extending brake and tyre life. The Hyster Stability System
(HSS) enhances operational safety. Additional features include hydrostatic power
steering, adjustable steer column, rubber floor mat, operator restraint system,
anti-clog radiator, single pedal inch brake, and cowl-mounted hydraulic control
levers.
The Hyster H60FT is a four-wheeled forklift with a load capacity of 6000 lb or
2722 kg at a 24.0 in or 610 mm load centre. The nominal load at the centre of
gravity is 2.72 t. Its design prioritises stability and manoeuvrability in
demanding environments. The machine is fitted with pneumatic tyres as standard,
with optional superelastic or cushion configurations available. The tyre
configuration is 2x2, indicating two wheels on the front drive axle and two
wheels on the rear steer axle.
The transmission type is electronic powershift with 1-speed forward and reverse,
with optional 2-speed configurations available. The service weight of the truck
without load is 9943 lb or 4510 kg, and with load is 15943 lb or 7232 kg. Weight
distribution without load places 3865 lb or 1753 kg on the front axle and 6077
lb or 2756 kg on the rear axle. With load, weight distribution shifts to 13905
lb or 6307 kg on the front axle and 2038 lb or 924 kg on the rear axle.
Basic Technical Data: The forklift is available with
multiple engine options. The PSI 2.4L LPG engine produces 59 hp or 44 kW at 2700
rpm with peak torque of 121 lb-ft or 164 Nm at 2000 rpm, featuring a
displacement of 2351 cc or 143 cu.in. The Kubota 2.5L diesel engine produces 59
hp or 44 kW at 2700 rpm with peak torque of 131 lb-ft or 18 kg/m at 1000 rpm,
featuring a displacement of 2491 cc or 152 cu.in.
The diesel version meets Tier 4 Final emission
standards. The LPG engine features dual fuel capability. The permanent
output for both engines is 44 kW. The fuel tank capacity is 13.9 gal or
52.8 L for LPG models. Diesel fuel capacity is approximately 14 gal or
53 L.
Lubrication: The engine lubrication system is a forced-feed type,
employing a gear pump to circulate oil throughout the engine block and
cylinder head, ensuring all moving components are adequately lubricated
for reduced friction and prolonged engine life. The system includes a
full-flow oil filter to remove contaminants. The simplified wiring and
hydraulics layout offers easy access to components, facilitating service
times.
Cooling: Engine temperature is regulated by a liquid cooling system with
an anti-clog radiator design. This system comprises a radiator, a water
pump, a thermostat, and a cooling fan. The water pump circulates coolant
through the engine jackets to absorb heat, which is then dissipated as
it passes through the radiator core. The radiator effectively manages
engine coolant temperatures for extended periods.
Transmission: The Hyster H60FT is equipped with an
electronically controlled powershift transmission featuring 1-speed forward and
reverse as standard, with optional 2-speed configurations available. The
DuraMatch transmission provides smoother directional changes to eliminate shock
loading and extend clutch pack life. The Auto Deceleration System automatically
slows the truck when the accelerator pedal is released and brings the truck to a
stop, significantly extending brake and tyre life. Electronic inching and
electronic shift control with MONOTROL pedal simplify operation.
Travel Speed: The forklift achieves a laden travel speed of 11.1 mph or 17.9
km/h and an unladen speed of 11.3 mph or 18.2 km/h.
Axles: The front axle is a rigid, drive axle that carries the majority of the
load, while the rear axle is a steer axle designed to oscillate, allowing all
wheels to maintain ground contact on uneven surfaces. The wheelbase measures
63.9 in or 1623 mm. The tread width for standard configuration is 46.7 in or
1186 mm overall width, with wide tread options of 52.0 in or 1321 mm.
Brakes: The service brake system is foot-operated hydraulic drum type, providing
reliable and controlled stopping power. The parking brake is hand-operated
mechanical type.
The electrical system operates on a 12V architecture
with a maintenance-free battery rated at 475 cold cranking amps. The Pacesetter
VSM on-board industrial computer controls, protects and manages all powertrains,
ensuring maximum uptime and dependability with fast and accurate
trouble-shooting and first-time fixes.
The CANbus communications network enables
reliable operation with reduced wiring complexity. The dash-mounted
instrument display provides gauges and warning indicators. An operator
restraint system is standard equipment.
Wheel Drive: The Hyster H60FT features a 2-wheel drive
configuration, with the front wheels providing the tractive effort (2x driven
wheels).
Wheels: The forklift uses a 2x/2 wheel configuration, meaning two wheels on the
front axle and two on the rear. The front wheels are the driven wheels. The
machine features a robust chassis design for enhanced durability.
Tires: This model is fitted with pneumatic tyres as standard. The front tyre
size is 28x9-15 or 7.00x12-12. The rear tyre size is 6.50x10. Solid pneumatic
tyres are available for yard applications. Cushion tyre configurations are also
available for indoor use.
Steering: The steering system is hydrostatic power steering. The minimum outside
turning radius is 89.6 in or 2277 mm. The adjustable steer column allows
operators to easily obtain a comfortable driving position. The steering axle
design ensures precise and direct steering control.
The hydraulic system is designed for efficient lifting
and tilting operations. It operates at an auxiliary hydraulic pressure relief of
2250 psi or 15.5 MPa for attachments. The hydraulic tank capacity for drain and
refill is 12.1 gal or 45.8 L. Cowl-mounted hydraulic control levers are standard
equipment.
The Hyster H60FT can be equipped with various mast
types including 2-stage limited free lift (LFL), 2-stage full free lift (FFL),
and 3-stage full free lift configurations. Specifications for a standard 2-stage
LFL mast include a lowered height of 89 in or 2245 mm. The mast has a free lift
of 5 in or 140 mm for LFL configurations. Optional FFL configurations provide
free lift of 58 in or 1490 mm. The standard lift height is 126 in or 3209 mm top
of fork. At full lift with load backrest, the mast extends to 175 in or 4330 mm.
Without load backrest, extended height is 154 in or 3905 mm. The fork carriage
