Cat TH3510D Specifications
The Caterpillar TH3510D Ag Handler Telehandler is a
high-capacity agricultural and industrial material-handling machine designed for
applications requiring long reach, heavy lifting performance, and superior
hydraulic responsiveness. As part of Caterpillar’s D-Series telehandler lineup,
the TH3510D integrates advanced hydraulic systems, electronically controlled
engines, and a robust structural frame engineered for thousands of operational
hours under high-duty cycles.
Its high visibility cab, multi-function
joystick, and “Operator Preferences” system provide a refined operating
experience, while its six-speed powershift transmission delivers
excellent travel and towing capabilities on and off the road.
The TH3510D is powered by a selection of fuel-efficient Cat diesel
engines meeting Tier 4 Final emissions regulations. With up to 106 kW
(142 hp) and torque outputs reaching 560 Nm (413 lb-ft), the telehandler
exhibits powerful boom extension and loading performance. A long boom
with Z-bar linkage provides fast cycle times, high breakout forces, and
excellent load control.
With a maximum lift height of 9.8 m (32.1 ft),
forward reach of 6.6 m (21.6 ft), and rated capacity of 3493 kg (7700
lb), the TH3510D serves agricultural, light construction, industrial
logistics, waste handling, and fleet operations with exceptional
versatility.
The TH3510D is available with three Cat engine options:
Cat C3.4B, Cat C4.4 ACERT (Option 1), and Cat C4.4 ACERT (Option 2). Emissions
compliance: U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final.
Engine outputs:
- Standard C3.4B: 83 kW (112 hp), torque 460 Nm (339 lb-ft)
- Option 1 C4.4 ACERT: 93 kW (124 hp), torque 530 Nm (391 lb-ft)
- Option 2 C4.4 ACERT: 106 kW (142 hp), torque 560 Nm (413 lb-ft)
Engine geometry:
- Bore: 99 mm (3.8 in) on C3.4B; 105 mm (4.1 in) on C4.4 ACERT
- Stroke: 110 mm (4.3 in) on C3.4B; 127 mm (5 in) on C4.4 ACERT
- Displacement: 3.4 L or 4.4 L
The Cat ACERT combustion system optimizes air-fuel mixing, turbocharging, and
electronic fuel control to ensure clean burn, fuel efficiency, and extended
service intervals. All engine variants provide excellent cold-start ability,
stable operating torque, and smooth idle characteristics.
Lubrication and Cooling System
The lubrication system is a pressure-fed wet-sump design with spin-on
filtration. Oil change intervals are typically every 500 h depending on fuel
quality and duty cycle. Oil capacity varies slightly by engine size but
typically ranges near 8-12 L.
Cooling system features:
- High-capacity industrial radiator core
- Belt-driven water pump
- Pressurized expansion tank
- Thermostat regulated coolant flow
- Cooling system capacity approx. 15-18 L
Transmission: Cat PG124 six-speed power-shift
transmission (standard). Transmission is electronically modulated for smooth
shifting and reliable towing performance.
Forward speeds:
1st - 5.7 km/h (3.4 mph)
2nd - 8.6 km/h (5.3 mph)
3rd - 11.2 km/h (6.9 mph)
4th - 16.6 km/h (10.3 mph)
5th - 25.3 km/h (15.7 mph)
6th - 40 km/h (24.9 mph)
Reverse speeds:
1st - 5.7 km/h
2nd - 11.2 km/h
3rd - 25.3 km/h
Axles:
- Front axle: high-bias planetary reduction hubs with limited-slip differential
- Rear axle: open differential with planetary hubs

display systems, and standard telehandler safety interlocks.
Drive: two-wheel drive or standard 4WD via mechanical
transfer to the drive axle.
Chassis:
- Heavy welded steel frame
- Reinforced boom pivot housing
- Integrated counterweight
- Full-length steel belly protection
Standard tires: Mitas 15.5/80-24 16-ply
Optional tires include Michelin XHA, XMCL, Power CL, Bibload, and solid
industrial tires.
Steering:
- Hydrostatic power steering
- Three-mode steering (four-wheel, front-wheel, crab steer depending on
configuration)
- Steering pump integrated with hydraulic system
- Steering axle oscillation for stability
- Turning radius over tires: 3.85 m (12.6 ft)
System type: load-sensing, closed-center
Pump type: variable-flow axial piston pump
Hydraulic specification:
- Maximum pump capacity: 140 L/min (36.9 gal/min)
- System pressure: 260 bar (3770 psi)
- Auxiliary pressure: 245 bar (3553 psi)
Auxiliary flow:
- Boom head intermittent: 95 L/min (25 gal/min)
- Boom head continuous: 95 L/min
- Rear auxiliary: 80 L/min (21 gal/min)
The load-sensing system matches pump output to operator command and hydraulic
demand, reducing fuel consumption and increasing machine response.
Cycle Times
- Boom up: 8 s
- Boom down: 6.5 s
- Tele out: 11 s
- Tele in: 10.5 s
- Crowd forward: 3 s
- Crowd back: 3.5 s

The TH3510D uses a Z-bar linkage attached to the boom head for increased
breakout force (up to 62 kN bucket breakout, 41 kN boom breakout). The
boom is a multi-section high-strength steel assembly with internal wear
pads, lubrication points, and hydraulic routing for attachments.
