Clark S25D Specifications
The Clark S25D is a diesel-powered forklift that
delivers a compelling balance of power, efficiency, and versatility for general
material handling operations. Its core strength lies in the proven Isuzu 4LE2X
diesel engine, a four-cylinder turbocharged powerplant providing dependable
torque and reliability for continuous use. The engine meets Stage 3b/EU Stage V
emissions standards and incorporates a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) with no
regeneration cycles or additives required, meaning no interruption of operation
is necessary.
Operator control is facilitated through features like hydrostatic power steering
eliminating steering kick-back, and a fully-welded, heavy-gauge frame for
stability. The S25D is equipped with a range of lifting systems including
standard, Hilo, Triplex, and Quad configurations, designed for productive
operation across various applications.
This model is equipped with clear-view uprights available in Standard, Hilo,
Triplex, and Quad versions, featuring extra-wide masts, narrow center cylinders,
and optimized mast design for excellent visibility. It rolls on pneumatic tires,
offering excellent stability and traction for outdoor use. The distance from the
centre of the drive axle to the fork face is 18.3 in (465 mm).
The wheelbase is 65.0 in (1,650 mm). The total service weight of the truck is
8,320 lb (3,774 kg). When fully laden, the axle load distribution places 12,045
lb (5,463 kg) on the front axle and 1,786 lb (810 kg) on the rear axle. In an
unladen state, the front axle load 3,309 lb (1,501 kg), and the rear axle load
5,011 lb (2,273 kg). The overhead guard height is 85.2 in (2,165 mm). The seat
height is 45.6 in (1,157 mm). The coupling height is 16.1 in (410 mm).
The Clark S25D is powered by the Isuzu 4LE2X diesel
engine, a robust and reliable powerplant specifically designed for industrial
operation. It is a four-cylinder engine with a turbocharger and a total
displacement of 133 cu in (2,179 cc). This engine produces a rated power of 62
hp (46 kW) at 2,400 rpm.
The engine meets Stage 3b/EU Stage V emissions standards and incorporates a
diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) with no regeneration cycles required, ensuring
continuous operation. Lubrication is provided by a pressure-fed system ensuring
all moving components are adequately lubricated. Cooling is managed by a
liquid-cooled system designed to maintain optimal operating temperatures.
The drivetrain of the S25D is engineered for precise
control and long-term durability.
Transmission: It is fitted with a HY-type automatic powershift transmission with
gearbox oil cooling.
Travel Speed: The forklift achieves a laden travel speed of 10.1 mph (16.3 km/h)
and an unladen travel speed of 10.9 mph (17.6 km/h).
Axles: The drive axle is located at the front. The rear steer axle is robust
with proven steer axle design. The drive axle fluid should be changed at 2,000
hour intervals.
Brakes: The service brake system utilizes wet disc brakes. The parking brake is
actuated with a hand lever, and maintenance procedures include checking brake
condition and wear.
The electrical system is engineered to reliably support
the engine, safety features, and lighting. It operates on a standard 12-volt
architecture. The system powers the starter motor, engine control systems, and
all essential lighting components for safe operation. Daily maintenance includes
checking warning lights and hour meter operation. An electronic tachometer is
standard equipment. Increased safety is provided through power failure
protection to prevent uncontrolled lowering of loads.
The chassis provides a rigid and durable foundation,
constructed from heavy-gauge steel with fully welded frame construction to
support all major components under load stress. Wheels and Tires: The S25D is
fitted with pneumatic tires. Available with dual tyres on the drive axle to
improve traction and stability.
Front: 7.00 x 12 - 14 PR
Rear: 6.00 x 9 - 10 PR
Track Width:
Front: 38.0 in (964 mm)
Rear: 38.2 in (970 mm)
Drive Configuration: The vehicle utilizes a 2-wheel drive configuration, with
the two front wheels serving as the driven wheels.
The steering system on the Clark S25D is a hydrostatic power steering system
that eliminates steering kick-back, providing smooth and effortless control
during low-speed maneuvering and in confined spaces. Daily maintenance includes
checking steering operation. The double acting steer cylinder ensures precise
and direct steering. A priority distributor in the hydraulic system ensures
steering priority in all conditions.
The hydraulic system is responsible for powering the
lifting, tilting, and any auxiliary functions. It utilizes a full-flow reverse
filter which filters the oil to the tank at each reverse flow, ensuring oil
purity. Rough particles are filtered directly via a suction filter, thereby
preventing them from entering the oil circuit, ensuring a long service life for
all hydraulic components. A high-capacity pump provides adequate oil supply for
the upright and the hydrostatic steering. A large 12.4 gal (47 L) hydraulic oil
tank allows the use of numerous attachments. The system operating pressure for
attachments is up to 2,030 psi (140 bar).
The main hydraulic pump has a rated flow of up to 9.2 gpm (35 L/min) for
attachments. Load handling is controlled via a load sensitive-response and
precise control valve. A safety valve provides extra safety and prevents an
uncontrolled lowering of the load at all times. Maintenance includes changing or
replacing the hydraulic sump oil filter and breather, and changing hydraulic
sump fluid at prescribed intervals. The mast tilts forward by 8 degrees and
backward by 10 degrees. Tilt cylinders are mounted in pendulum bearings with an
integrated tilt lock valve that prevents excessively rapid or unintentional
forward tilting of the lifting system.
The standard mast configuration is available as a
2-stage (Standard), Hilo, Triplex, or Quad upright design depending on
application requirements. Excellent visibility is provided by extra-wide masts,
narrow center cylinders, and optimized mast design. Angled mast rollers and a
robust 6-roller fork carriage with hook suspension ensure durability.
Maintenance includes checking upright, lift chains and fasteners, lubricating
tilt cylinder rod ends, and checking lift chain adjustment and wear.
Mast Height (Lowered): 85.2 in (2,165 mm). Free Lift: 4.3 in (110 mm). This
feature allows for lifting loads at low heights without increasing the overall
mast height, a valuable function when entering trailers or working under
low-clearance structures. Maximum Fork Height: 130 in (3,300 mm). Mast Height
(Extended) (with LBR): 154.5 in (3,924 mm).
