operator comfort and control. The Combi-cooler radiator ensures excellent
cooling performance in demanding environments. Available with a 2-stage LFL
VISTA mast achieving 219" (5565 mm) lift height, pneumatic tires for enhanced
traction, and 3 speeds forward / 2 speeds reverse transmission, the H190FT
delivers travel speeds up to 14.4 mph (23.2 km/h) and a turning radius of 147"
(3723 mm) for maneuverability in its class.
The Hyster H190FT is a rider-seated forklift powered by a diesel engine meeting
Tier 4 Final emission standards. It has a load capacity of 19,000 lb at a 24 in
load centre, equivalent to 8618 kg at a 600 mm load centre. The distance from
the drive axle centre to the fork face (load distance) is 24.2 in or 613.5 mm.
The truck has a wheelbase of 96.5 in or 2450 mm.
Its service weight (unladen) for the standard 2-stage LFL mast configuration is 25,857 lb to 25,858 lb or 11,729 kg. With a load, the total weight increases to 44,857 lb (20,347 kg). Axle loadings with a load are 40,179 lb (18,225 kg) on the front and 4678 lb (2122 kg) on the rear. When unladen, front axle loading is 11,693 lb (5304 kg) and rear axle loading is 14,162 lb (6424 kg).
Engine Specs
The Hyster H190FT is powered by the proven Kubota 3.8L
turbo diesel engine, a sophisticated four-cylinder power unit known for its
reliability, fuel efficiency, and advanced emission controls.
Basic Technical Data: The engine is a 4-cylinder turbo diesel with a
displacement of 230 cu.in (3769 cc). It produces a rated power of 110 hp at 2400
rpm, equivalent to 82 kW at 2400 rpm. The engine delivers a torque of 373 lb-ft
at 1600 rpm (505 Nm at 1600 rpm). The engine features a cast iron cylinder block
for durability and meets EPA Certified Tier 4 Final emission standards using a
DOC catalyst without the need for a regeneration process, reducing downtime and
service costs. The emission level is Tier 4 Final (T4F). The heavy-duty
industrial use engine has no HT (high tension) wires, distributor caps, or
rotors for enhanced reliability.
Lubrication: The engine employs a forced lubrication system. Routine
maintenance, including oil and filter changes, is mandated at specific hourly
intervals as outlined in the periodic maintenance schedule to ensure longevity
and performance.
Cooling: Engine temperature is regulated by a pressurized liquid cooling system
featuring a Combi-cooler radiator. Performance optimization developments include
cooling on demand to further reduce total fuel consumption. Regular inspection
of coolant levels and condition, as well as monitoring the radiator, water pump,
and hoses for wear and debris, is part of standard preventative maintenance.
Drive Train
Transmission: The H190FT is equipped with a DuraMatch
electronic powershift transmission featuring 3 speeds forward and 2 speeds
reverse. This transmission includes electronic inching and electronic shift
control for smooth and precise operation. The auto deceleration system (ADS)
enhances control and efficiency by automatically adjusting travel speed.
Controlled power reversal and controlled rollback on ramps provide maximum
control on grades and increase operator productivity when the brake and throttle
pedal are released. The transmission also features throttle response management,
allowing the operator to manage travel speed according to foot position on the
accelerator pedal.
Travel Speed: This forklift achieves a laden travel speed of 13.4 mph (21.5
km/h) forward and 10.7 mph (17.2 km/h) reverse. Unladen speeds are 14.4 mph
(23.2 km/h) forward and 11.5 mph (18.5 km/h) reverse.
Axles: The front axle is a drive axle with 4 driven wheels. The wheelbase is
96.5 in (2450 mm). Front track width is 78.9 in (2003 mm). Rear track width is
60.4 in (1535 mm).
Brakes: Service braking is handled by a hydraulic foot brake system. The parking
brake is a hand-operated mechanical lever.
Electrical System
The electrical system operates at a standard 12 volts with two maintenance-free batteries totaling 1800 cold cranking amps. The system powers the starter motor, lights, and electronic control units. Hall-Effect sensors and switches, which are non-mechanical, have been fitted and are designed to outlast the life of the truck. The system includes diagnostic troubleshooting capabilities.
Wheels and Tires
The chassis is a heavy-duty, one-piece welded steel
frame that supports all major components: the engine, drivetrain, counterweight,
and mast. The frame is designed to withstand the rigors of heavy industrial
applications.
The truck is fitted with pneumatic tires as standard, providing enhanced
stability and traction on various surfaces. The front and rear tires are both
size 8.25x15 14PR. The wheel configuration features 4 driven wheels at the front
and 2 steer wheels at the rear. Overall width is 88 in (2235 mm).
The H190FT features hydrostatic power steering as standard equipment. This
system significantly reduces the effort required to turn the wheel, especially
when the truck is stationary or moving slowly under load. The steer column is
adjustable, allowing operators to position the steering wheel for optimal
comfort and control.
Hydraulic System
The hydraulic system powers the lifting, tilting, and auxiliary functions such as sideshift and fork positioner. The system features load sensing hydraulics (power on demand) to reduce power loss and heat build-up. Leak-free O-ring face seal fittings reduce leaks for enhanced reliability.
Hall-Effect sensors and switches, which are non-mechanical, have been fitted and are designed to outlast the life of the truck. A 3-function hydraulic control valve provides precise attachment control.
The auxiliary hydraulic pressure relief for attachments is set at 2250 psi (15.5 MPa). The hydraulic tank capacity is 19.0 gal (71.9 L) for drain and refill. TouchPoint hydraulic mini-levers with a fully adjustable armrest enhance operator comfort and control.
RPM management and alternate engine idle speed help further reduce total fuel consumption in most applications. ECO-eLo performance mode reduces energy consumption by up to 15% compared with previous generation engines.
Mast Data
The forklift is equipped with a 2-stage limited
free-lift (LFL) VISTA mast as standard, with optional 3-stage full free lift
(FFL) configurations available to suit various applications. The VISTA mast
design provides excellent visibility. The standard 2-stage LFL mast has a
lowered height of 156 in (3962 mm). It provides a free lift of 4 in (105 mm)
with load backrest, enabling lifting in low-clearance areas before the mast
sections begin to extend. The maximum fork height is 219 in (5565 mm) for the
standard 2-stage LFL mast.
The mast extends to a height of 270 in (6847 mm) including load backrest. The
mast tilts forward by 5 degrees and backward by 9.2 degrees to facilitate load
handling and secure transport. The fork carriage is an 80 in (2030 mm) wide
hook-type carriage with a 48 in (1219 mm) tall load backrest extension. The
standard fork dimensions are 2.8 in thick, 7.9 in wide, and 47.2 in long, which
is 65 mm by 200 mm by 1200 mm. The maximum fork spread (outside dimensions) is
78.3 in (1990 mm). The minimum inside fork spread is 2.6 in (65 mm).
Load Capacity
Load Capacity: 19,000 lb (8,618 kg)
