lb-ft) of torque at 1700 rpm.
Lubrication and Cooling: The system is designed to support continuous operation
in demanding conditions. The engine employs a forced lubrication system with
full-flow filtration to protect internal components. Liquid cooling is
maintained by a belt-driven centrifugal water pump and a radiator designed for
efficient heat dissipation. The cooling system is engineered to maintain optimal
operating temperatures during extended use. A simplified wiring and hydraulics
layout offers very easy access to components, facilitating and reducing service
times for unscheduled repairs as well as regular maintenance.
Transmission: The H2.5FT Fortens is equipped with
multiple transmission options depending on the configuration level. The standard
Fortens model features an electronic powershift transmission. The Fortens
Advance model is equipped with the electronically controlled DuraMatch 1-speed
transmission, which provides smoother directional changes to eliminate shock
loads and extend clutch pack service life. The Fortens Advance+ model features
the DuraMatch 2-speed transmission with additional functionality including a
shorter first gear for greater drawbar pull and a longer second gear for higher
travel speeds on long hauls.
All powertrains are controlled, protected and managed by the Pacesetter VSM
on-board industrial computer with a CANbus communications network. This system
allows for fast and accurate trouble-shooting, facilitates first-time fixes and
minimizes costly parts swapping.
Travel Speed: The forklift achieves a maximum travel speed of 17.3 km/h (10.7
mph) when fully laden and 18.0 km/h (11.2 mph) when unladen. Alternative travel
speeds of 16.9 km/h (10.5 mph) laden and 18.0 km/h (11.2 mph) unladen for diesel
versions.
Axles and Brakes: The truck uses a drive axle configuration with two driven
wheels on the front (2x2). The service brake system is available in two
configurations: standard drum brakes or optional oil-immersed brakes on Fortens
Advance and Advance+ models. The oil-immersed brakes help reduce maintenance
requirements and enhance the truck's safe operation. The parking brake is
mechanical. The Auto Deceleration System (ADS) automatically brakes the truck
when the accelerator pedal is released, extending brake and tire life.
The electrical system operates at 12V. The system
features the Pacesetter VSM electronic management system with CANbus
communications network for comprehensive monitoring and control. The system is
responsible for starting the LPG engine and powering all lights and operator
interface components. The system features moisture-resistant electrical
connectors for durability.
