Basic Technical Data: The forklift is powered by the
Yanmar 4TNE92 engine, a four-cylinder diesel unit meeting EU Stage IIIA emission
standards. With a displacement of 2659 cc or 2.6 L , this engine produces 33.9
kW or 45.5 hp of power at a rated speed of 2450 rpm according to ISO 1585. The
engine delivers peak torque of 143 Nm or 105 lb-ft at 1400 rpm. Alternative LPG
configurations utilize the GCT K25 engine producing 37.4 kW with displacement of
2488 cc. The proven industrial engines ensure reliable performance.
Lubrication: The engine lubrication system is a forced-feed type, employing a
gear pump to circulate oil throughout the engine block and cylinder head,
ensuring all moving components are adequately lubricated for reduced friction
and prolonged engine life. The system includes a full-flow oil filter to remove
contaminants. Large, high-quality filters ensure optimum performance.
Cooling: Engine temperature is regulated by a liquid cooling system. This system
comprises a radiator, a water pump, a thermostat, and a cooling fan. The
radiator manages both engine coolant and transmission oil, providing excellent
cooling that reduces the risk of unplanned downtime. The water pump circulates
coolant through the engine jackets to absorb heat, which is then dissipated as
it passes through the radiator core.
Transmission: The Hyster H2.5UT is equipped with a
single-speed powershift transmission (type W) that is well-proven, reliable, and
efficient. The DuraMatch transmission system provides seamless acceleration
control.
Travel Speed: The forklift achieves a laden travel speed of 20.0 km/h or 12.4
mph and an unladen speed of 20.0 km/h or 12.4 mph according to the data sheet.
Axles: The front axle is a rigid, drive axle that carries the majority of the
load, with the drive axle housing cast as an integral component of the one-piece
welded frame. The rear axle is a steer axle designed to oscillate, allowing all
wheels to maintain ground contact on uneven surfaces. Both drive and steer axles
are cast for durability. The wheelbase measures 1600 mm or 63.0 in. The tread
width is 970 mm or 38.2 in for the front and 980 mm or 38.6 in for the rear. The

controlled stopping power. The parking brake is mechanical.
The electrical system operates on a 12 V architecture.
It includes a comprehensive wiring harness connecting all electrical components.
The system includes an Operator Presence Sensing (OPS) system that automatically
cuts off hydraulic and travel functions when the operator leaves the seat,
ensuring vehicle and personnel safety. The steering column must be returned to
centre position before the engine can start.
Wheel Drive: The Hyster H2.5UT features a 2-wheel drive
configuration, with the front wheels providing the tractive effort (2x driven
wheels).
Wheels: The forklift uses a 2x/2 wheel configuration, meaning two wheels on the
front axle and two on the rear. The front wheels are the driven wheels. The
machine features a one-piece welded frame with many components cast, including
the drive axle housing, ensuring durability.
Tires: This model is fitted with superelastic tyres as standard according to the
data sheet. The tyre size for the front is 7.00-12 NHS-12. The tyre size for the
rear is 6.00-9 NHS-10. Standard tyres are specified as L 2x/2 for diesel models
and P 2x/2 for LPG models , with superelastic as an option. Pneumatic tyres
provide stability outdoors and optimized maneuverability.
