Hyster H3.0FT Fortens Specifications
The Hyster H3.0FT Fortens is an LPG-powered forklift
that delivers a compelling balance of power, efficiency, and versatility for
material handling operations. Its core strength lies in the proven PSI 2.4L or
optional Kubota, or Yanmar engines, providing dependable torque and reliability
for continuous use. The durable powertrain is computer controlled, protected and
managed by the Pacesetter VSM electronic management system, featuring a CANbus
communications network.
Operator comfort and safety are prioritized through features like hydrostatic
power steering, a well-designed operator compartment, and the optional Autospeed
Hydraulics system. The H3.0FT is equipped with the electronically controlled
DuraMatch 1-speed transmission and is designed for productive operation across
various applications with low operating costs.
This model rolls on superelastic tires, with standard front tire size 28X9-15
and rear tire size 6.50x10. The distance from the centre of the drive axle to
the fork face is 483 mm (19.0 in). The wheelbase is 1,623 mm (63.9 in). The
total service weight of the truck is 4,612 kg (10,168 lb). When fully laden, the
axle load distribution places 6,640 kg (14,639 lb) on the front axle and 972 kg
(2,143 lb) on the rear axle.
In an unladen state, the front axle load 1,823 kg (4,019 lb), and the rear axle
load 2,789 kg (6,149 lb). The overhead guard height is 2,185 mm (86.0 in). The
seat height relating to SIP is 1,086 mm (42.8 in). The coupling height is 390 mm
(15.4 in). The overall length is 3,633 mm (143.0 in). The length to face of
forks is 2,633 mm (103.7 in). The overall width is available as 1,186 mm (46.7
in) standard, with options up to 1,601 mm (63.0 in).
The Hyster H3.0FT Fortens offers a choice of three
engine options to suit different application requirements. The primary engine is
the PSI 2.4L, a robust and reliable powerplant specifically designed for LPG
industrial operation. It is a four-cylinder engine with a total displacement of
2,351 cc (143.5 cu.in).
This engine produces a rated power of 44.0 kW
(59.0 hp) at 2,700 rpm according to ISO 1585 standards, with peak torque
of 164 Nm (121 lb-ft) at 2,000 rpm. Fuel consumption according to VDI
cycle is 3.1 L/h.
An alternative is the Kubota 2.5L engine, a four-cylinder engine with a
displacement of 2,491 cc (152.0 cu.in). It produces a rated power of
43.9 kW (58.9 hp) at 2,500 rpm, with peak torque of 178 Nm (131 lb-ft)
at 1,000 rpm.
Another alternative is the Yanmar 4TNE98 engine, a four-cylinder engine
with a displacement of 3,319 cc (202.5 cu.in). It produces a rated power
of 43.0 kW (57.7 hp) at 2,600 rpm, with peak torque of 189 Nm (139
lb-ft) at 1,700 rpm. The fuel tank has a capacity of 52.8 L (14.0 gal).
The engine meets EU exhaust gas emission
regulations applicable at the time of manufacture. Lubrication is
provided by a pressure-fed system ensuring all moving components are
adequately lubricated. Cooling is managed by a liquid-cooled system
designed to maintain optimal operating temperatures.
Transmission: It is fitted with a computer-controlled
DuraMatch 1-speed automatic powershift transmission. The electronically
controlled DuraMatch transmissions provide smoother directional changes to
eliminate shock loading and extend the life of the clutch packs. These
transmissions offer unique and patented features, managed by the VSM, such as
the Auto Deceleration System, which contributes to extending brake and tire life
and so reduces the frequency of required changes and ultimately your overall
operating costs. The transmission type is designated as W.
Travel Speed: The forklift achieves a laden travel speed of 19.1 km/h (11.9 mph)
and an unladen travel speed of 20.3 km/h (12.6 mph).
Axles: The drive axle is located at the front. The rear steer axle is robust
with proven steer axle design.
Brakes: The service brake system is hydraulic, with optional oil-immersed brakes
available. The parking brake is mechanical.
The electrical system is engineered to reliably support
the engine, safety features, and lighting. It operates on a standard 12-volt
architecture and features a CANbus communications network. The Pacesetter VSM
(Vehicle System Manager) electronic management system ensures maximum uptime and
dependability, as it allows for fast and accurate trouble-shooting, facilitates
first-time fixes and can help to minimise costly "parts swapping". The system
powers the starter motor, engine control systems, and all essential lighting
components for safe operation.
The chassis provides a rigid and durable foundation,
constructed from heavy-gauge steel with fully welded frame construction to
support all major components under load stress. Wheels and Tires: The H3.0FT
Fortens is fitted with superelastic (SE) tires with 2 front and 2 rear wheels.
Front Tires: 28x9-15
Rear Tires: 6.50x10
Track Width:
Front: 965 mm (38.0 in)
Rear: 967 mm (38.1 in)
Drive Configuration: The vehicle utilizes a 2-wheel drive configuration, with
the two front wheels serving as the driven wheels.
Steering: The steering system on the Hyster H3.0FT Fortens provides smooth and
effortless control during low-speed maneuvering and in confined spaces.
The hydraulic system is responsible for powering the
lifting, tilting, and any auxiliary functions. The system operating pressure for
attachments is 155 bar (2,248 psi). The main hydraulic pump has a rated flow of
up to 75 L/min (19.8 gpm) for attachments. The hydraulic oil tank has a capacity
of 45.8 L (12.1 gal). If the Autospeed Hydraulics option is selected when
lifting a load the engine speed is automatically increased to provide full
hydraulic power.
The Pacesetter VSM maintains the current travel speed (or prevents travel) until
the operator steps on the accelerator. No operator inching is required and
productivity and efficiency is increased by simplifying operator actions. The
mast tilts forward by 6 degrees and backward by 5 degrees. A safety valve
prevents uncontrolled lowering of the load.
The standard mast configuration is available as a
2-stage limited free lift mast or 3-stage full free lift mast depending on
application requirements. Mast Height (Lowered): 2,195 mm (86.4 in).
Free Lift: 140 mm (5.5 in). This feature allows for lifting loads at low heights
without increasing the overall mast height, a valuable function when entering
trailers or working under low-clearance structures.
Maximum Fork Height (Lift): 3,055 mm (120.3 in). Mast Height (Extended): 3,805
mm (149.8 in). Maximum Lift Height (3rd stage mast): Available up to 5,800 mm
(228 in).
