Hyster H50FT Specifications
The Hyster H50FT is an LPG or diesel-powered forklift
that delivers a compelling balance of power, efficiency, and versatility for
material handling operations. Its core strength lies in the proven PSI 2.4L or
Kubota 2.5L engines, providing dependable torque and reliability for continuous
use. The durable powertrain is computer controlled and managed by an electronic
management system, featuring a CANbus communications network.
Operator comfort and safety are prioritized through features like hydrostatic
power steering, an adjustable steer column, and the Hyster Stability System
(HSS). The H50FT is equipped with an electronic powershift transmission and is
designed for productive operation across various applications with low operating
costs.
This model is equipped with a 2-stage limited free lift VISTA mast or optional
3-stage full free lift mast depending on application requirements. It rolls on
pneumatic tires, with standard front tire size 7.00x12-12 and rear tire size
6.00x9. The distance from the centre of the drive axle to the fork face is 18.5
in (470 mm). The wheelbase is 63.9 in (1,623 mm). The total service weight of
the truck is 8,399 lb (3,810 kg).
When fully laden, the axle load distribution places 12,105 lb (5,491 kg) on the
front axle and 1,294 lb (587 kg) on the rear axle. In an unladen state, the
front axle load 3,776 lb (1,713 kg), and the rear axle load 4,623 lb (2,097 kg).
The overhead guard height is 85.0 in (2,160 mm). The step height is 15.0 in (382
mm).
The Hyster H50FT offers a choice of engine options to
suit different application requirements. The LPG engine is the PSI 2.4L, a
robust and reliable powerplant specifically designed for industrial operation.
It is a four-cylinder engine with a total displacement of 143 cu.in (2,343 cc).
This engine produces a rated power of 59 hp (44 kW) at 2,700 rpm according to
ISO 1585 standards, with peak torque of 121 lb-ft (164 Nm) at 2,000 rpm. The PSI
2.4L dual fuel engine is also available. The fuel tank has a capacity of 13.9
gal (52.8 L).
The diesel engine option is the Kubota 2.5L, a four-cylinder engine with a
displacement of 2.43 L (2,491 cc). It produces a rated power of 59 hp (44 kW) at
2,700 rpm, with peak torque of 131 lb-ft (178 Nm) at 1,000 rpm. The engine meets
Tier 4 Final emission levels. Lubrication is provided by a pressure-fed system
ensuring all moving components are adequately lubricated. Cooling is managed by
a liquid-cooled system with an anti-clog radiator designed to maintain optimal
operating temperatures.
Transmission: It is fitted with an electronic
powershift transmission with electronic inching and electronic shift control.
The MONOTROL pedal provides integrated direction and speed control. The
transmission offers one speed forward and one speed reverse.
Travel Speed: The forklift achieves a laden travel speed of 11.5 mph (18.5 km/h)
and an unladen travel speed of 11.8 mph (18.9 km/h).
Axles: The drive axle is located at the front. The rear steer axle is robust
with proven steer axle design.
Brakes: The service brake system is hydraulic with foot control. The parking
brake is mechanical with hand control.
The electrical system is engineered to reliably support
the engine, safety features, and lighting. It operates on a standard 12-volt
architecture with a maintenance-free battery rated at 475 cold cranking amps.
The system powers the starter motor, engine control systems, and all essential
lighting components for safe operation.
An integrated dashboard display provides
essential information, including fuel level, hour meter, and coolant
temperature, with service and operational indicator lights alerting
operators to potential issues. Diagnostic and monitoring systems and a
powertrain protection system are featured.
The chassis provides a rigid and durable foundation,
constructed from heavy-gauge steel with fully welded frame construction to
support all major components under load stress. The operator restraint system
and high-strength overhead guard are standard.
Wheels and Tires: The H50FT is fitted with pneumatic tires with 2 front and 2
rear wheels.
Front: 7.00x12-12
Rear: 6.00x9
Track Width:
Standard Tread Overall Width: 45.6 in (1,157 mm)
Wide Tread Overall Width: 51.9 in (1,317 mm)
Drive Configuration: The vehicle utilizes a 2-wheel drive configuration, with
the two front wheels serving as the driven wheels.
Steering: The steering system on the Hyster H50FT is a hydrostatic power
steering system that provides smooth and effortless control during low-speed
maneuvering and in confined spaces. An adjustable steer column enhances operator
comfort.
The hydraulic system is responsible for powering the
lifting, tilting, and any auxiliary functions. The system operating pressure for
attachments is 2,250 psi (15.5 MPa). The pump capacity for attachments is rated
for the system. Cowl-mounted hydraulic control levers provide intuitive
operation. The mast tilts forward by 6 degrees and backward by 6 degrees. A
safety valve prevents uncontrolled lowering of the load.
