Hyster H90FT Specifications
The Hyster H90FT is an LPG, gas, or diesel-powered
forklift that delivers exceptional power, durability, and efficiency for
heavy-duty operations. Its core strength lies in the proven Kubota 3.8L engine
options, providing dependable torque and reliability for continuous use, meeting
Tier 4 Final emission levels. The durable powertrain is computer controlled and
managed by an electronic management system.
Operator comfort and safety are prioritized through features like hydrostatic
power steering, an adjustable steer column, premium oil-cooled wet disc brakes,
and the Hyster Stability System (HSS). The H90FT is equipped with an electronic
powershift transmission and is designed for productive operation across various
applications with low operating costs.
This model is equipped with a 2-stage limited free-lift (LFL) VISTA mast as
standard, with optional 2-stage or 3-stage full free lift masts available
depending on application requirements. It rolls on heavy-duty pneumatic tires.
The distance from the centre of the drive axle to the fork face is 20.6 in (523
mm). The wheelbase is 72.0 in (1,830 mm). The total service weight of the truck
is 14,118 lb (6,404 kg) for the standard configuration.
When fully laden, the axle load distribution places approximately 20,229 lb
(9,176 kg) on the front axle and 2,889 lb (1,310 kg) on the rear axle. In an
unladen state, the front axle load approximately 8,420 lb (3,819 kg), and the
rear axle load approximately 5,698 lb (2,585 kg). The overhead guard height is
89.0 in (2,260 mm). The step height is 17.4 in (441 mm).
The Hyster H90FT offers a choice of two robust engine
options to suit different application requirements.
The LPG/gas engine is the Kubota WG3800, a dual fuel (LPG/gas) powerplant
specifically designed for industrial operation. It is a four-cylinder engine
with a total displacement of 230 cu.in (3,769 cc). This engine produces a rated
power of 74 hp (55 kW) at 1,800 rpm, with peak torque of 221 lb-ft (300 Nm) at
1,000 rpm.
The diesel engine option is the Kubota V3800, a four-cylinder turbocharged
engine meeting Tier 4 Final emission levels with a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst
(DOC). It has a displacement of 230 cu.in (3,769 cc). This engine produces a
rated power of 74 hp (55 kW) at 2,200 rpm, with peak torque of 228 lb-ft (309
Nm) at 1,400 rpm. The fuel tank capacity is 13.9 gal (52.8 L).
Lubrication is provided by a pressure-fed system ensuring all moving components
are adequately lubricated. Cooling is managed by a liquid-cooled system with a
heavy-duty anti-clog radiator designed to maintain optimal operating
temperatures.
Transmission: It is fitted with an electronic
powershift transmission with electronic inching and electronic shift control.
The transmission is available in one-speed or two-speed configurations. The
one-speed transmission provides 1 forward and 1 reverse gear, while the
two-speed offers enhanced performance with speeds of 15.6 mph laden and 16 mph
unladen.
Travel Speed: The forklift achieves a laden travel speed of 12.2 mph (19.6 km/h)
with the one-speed transmission and 15.6 mph (25.1 km/h) with the two-speed
transmission. Unladen speeds are 12.8 mph (20.6 km/h) for one-speed and 16.0 mph
(25.7 km/h) for two-speed.
Axles: The drive axle is located at the front. The rear steer axle is robust
with proven steer axle design. The drive axle features premium oil-cooled wet
disc brakes.
Brakes: The service brake system is hydraulic with foot control. The parking
brake is mechanical with hand control. Premium oil-cooled wet disc brakes are
standard, providing extended life and reliable performance in demanding
environments.
The electrical system is engineered to reliably support
the engine, safety features, and lighting. It operates on a standard 12-volt
architecture with a maintenance-free battery available in 475 or 900 cold
cranking amp configurations. The system powers the starter motor, engine control
systems, and all essential lighting components for safe operation. The Hyster
Stability System (HSS) is integrated into the electrical architecture.
The chassis provides a rigid and durable foundation,
constructed from heavy-gauge steel with fully welded frame construction to
support all major components under heavy load stress. The operator restraint
system is standard. Wheels and Tires: The H90FT is fitted with pneumatic tires
with 2 front and 2 rear wheels.
Front: 250x15-20 Ply
Rear: 7.00x12-14 Ply
Track Width:
Standard Tread Overall Width: 55.2 in (1,402 mm)
Wide Tread Overall Width: 58.5 in (1,485 mm)
Drive Configuration: The vehicle utilizes a 2-wheel drive configuration, with
the two front wheels serving as the driven wheels.
Steering: The steering system on the Hyster H90FT is a hydrostatic power
steering system that provides smooth and effortless control during low-speed
maneuvering and in confined spaces. An adjustable steer column enhances operator
comfort.
The hydraulic system is responsible for powering the
lifting, tilting, and any auxiliary functions. It is equipped with a 3-function
hydraulic control valve. The system operating pressure for attachments is 2,250
psi (15.5 MPa). The hydraulic tank capacity is 13.5 gal (51.0 L). A safety valve
prevents uncontrolled lowering of the load. The mast tilts forward by 6 degrees
and backward by 10 degrees for LPG models and 12 degrees for diesel models.
The standard mast configuration is a 2-stage limited
free-lift (LFL) VISTA mast, with optional 2-stage or 3-stage full free lift
masts available.
