JCB 516-40 Specifications
The JCB 516-40 Loadall is a compact, low-height
telescopic handler developed to provide enhanced lift capacity and reach over
the smaller 515-40 while retaining the same core advantages of compact
dimensions, exceptional maneuverability, and the ability to operate in
restricted-height environments.
Designed for agriculture, construction,
industrial handling, builders’ merchants, and rental fleets, the 516-40
is ideally suited for work inside low buildings, livestock housing,
greenhouses, tunnels, and urban sites where access and overhead
clearance are limited.
With a maximum rated payload of 1,600 kg (3,527 lb), a maximum lift
height of 4.0 m (13 ft 1 in), and a maximum forward reach of around 2.7
m (8 ft 10 in), the 516-40 offers improved lifting performance compared
with the 515-40 while maintaining an overall machine height of just
under 2.0 m. The innovative offset single-spine chassis design allows
the cab to be mounted low without compromising cab space or visibility,
resulting in excellent operator comfort and safety.
The 516-40 is powered by a Deutz industrial diesel engine and uses a
hydrostatic transmission with permanent four-wheel drive and four-wheel
steering. A robust hydraulic system, high-tensile steel boom, and JCB
tool carrier interface allow the machine to perform loading, lifting,
and material handling tasks efficiently. Designed in accordance with ISO
and ANSI/ITSDF safety standards, the 516-40 emphasizes stability,
reliability, ease of service, and low lifetime operating costs.
The JCB 516-40 is powered by a Deutz four-cylinder
industrial diesel engine designed for compact machinery applications requiring
reliable torque delivery, fuel efficiency, and long service life.
