Komatsu FD100-8 Specifications
The Komatsu FD100-8 is a high-capacity 10-ton (22,000
lb class) diesel-powered pneumatic-tire forklift engineered for the highest
levels of durability, lifting strength, and long-term performance in demanding
industrial environments. Designed for continuous multi-shift operations, the
FD100-8 incorporates heavy-duty structural fabrication, a wide-track mast
support system, reinforced driveline components, and advanced operator safety
technology.
It is intended for steel and metal production
facilities, port terminals, mining-support operations, lumber and timber
yards, container handling, precast concrete plants, and heavy logistics
depots where stability, torque, and reliability are critical.
Central to the FD100-8’s performance is the Komatsu SAA6D107E-1 engine,
a 6.69-liter turbocharged diesel engine built specifically for
industrial and heavy-equipment applications. The engine provides high
low-RPM torque, fast throttle response, and excellent fuel efficiency,
while its electronically controlled high-pressure fuel system ensures
combustion stability and reduced emissions. Its robust cooling and
lubrication systems allow the engine to withstand extended heavy-load
operation even in harsh environmental conditions.
The forklift integrates a Komatsu heavy-duty powershift transmission,
planetary reduction drive axle, sealed wet-disc braking system, and a
high-flow hydraulic circuit capable of supporting large-capacity lift
cylinders. Operators benefit from a large, comfortable operating
compartment, clear mast visibility, intuitive controls, and Komatsu’s
proven safety systems. The FD100-8 is engineered for long service
intervals, low fuel consumption, and maximum uptime in severe industrial
applications.
